How To Shop Publix

I love when people tell me shopping at Publix is just tooo expensive ;) That is when I can open up conversation on the benefits of shopping there and their couponing policy :) BTW I haven't ran into the first person to stop me! I know a lot of people out there Want and most importantly NEED to save money and I love helping them do it. So Here are a few Basics to Publix and let me know if you have any questions.....

1) Publix will accept (1) manufacturer coupon and (1) store coupon (Publix or Competitor) per item. This is what us couponers call "STACKING" Publix also allows for coupons for the FREE item on the BOGO sales, so go ahead and stack 4 coupons and you can really increase your savings.

2) Here is a great example of misconception on SALE ITEMS: For items that are listed on sale when you purchase multiples, like 10 for $10 or 2 for $5, you really only need to buy (1) to get the sale price!

3) Publix Checkout promise states that if an item scans at a higher price than the shelf or advertised price, the customer will get one of that item for FREE!

4) Publix gives "RAIN CHECKS" So be sure to for a rain check for the items that are on sale, but the store is out of. You can come back later, get the item at the sale price and still use your coupons.

5) Publix accepts competitor coupons. Store Managers set the rules so be sure to check with Customer Service on what your store considers a competitor. (Mine accepts all stores nearby and not so near by like Target, Food Lion, Harveys, Save-a-lot and a few others like CVS and Walgreens) That being said if you have (2) Publix stores near by see which one will benefit you more..... Publix will be reimbursed for manufacturer coupons but they will not for competitor coupons. They accept these as a courtesy to their customers so please do not abuse
6) Take advantage of the large register screen at checkout. Verify prices and make sure all your coupons are scanned correctly. Cashiers have to manually input Competitor and store coupons into the register.

Please check with your store if you have any questions
